Expecting wholesale changes tonight, is it too early for Gomez to take the bench?

Obs Mingolet will play probably Klavan, Stewart, Moreno and Lucas aswell.

{Ed001's Note - Gomez has played a couple of games for the U23s, so he should be fit enough, it is just whether he is mentally ready. They have recently discovered how a long term ACL injury leaves an athlete in need of mental rebuilding as well as physical, so he might not be mentally ready just yet. That is a much longer process. “The brain fundamentally changed in how it processes information from an injured knee,” said Dustin Grooms, Ph.D, a researcher who conducted the study at Ohio State and is currently employed at Ohio University. “We think those changes play a big role in why people who recover from ACL injuries don’t trust their knees entirely and tend to move them differently.”}

Spot on Ed. Just recovered from my third knee surgery. Takes a good cracking to realize your knee is okay. The mental side of recovery can't be understated. After my second surgery it took me a good 6 months after I was cleared to play to really be myself on the field, especially in the tackle.

{Ed001's Note - some people take years to recover, because not enough is done for the mental aspects. That is why this new research is so important. Hopefully it will help people recover more quickly in the future.}
