Where is everyone get a figure on the fee for Butland?
And what makes some feel he won't come unless he's 1st choice? he's not a premier league player anymore!
If man city or Chelsea bid for a player, they don't guarentee starting 11, we even lost our best players to sides that have not guaranteed starting 11 for those players.

Butland is an improvement on mignolet, he’s homegrown, stoke have been relegated which will limit the transfer fee, and he certainly has potential as a goalkeeper who prior to his nasty injury 2 seasons ago looked like he would be England’s number one for the tournament.

Personally I (and most i am sure) would prefer a world class keep bought in but there just aren’t many out there.

Karius has been good since coming in and it may be more prudent to keep faith with him and have JB as competition rather than try and oust Karius for a keeper who is potentially no better .

I think a lot should be made of the owners for the brilliant season we are having. I remember the last cl final we were going to and the enthusiasm we all felt at these new American owners who were certain to lead us into a new dominant era. I still remember them side by side as they sat grinning for the fans and cameras. The epic swindle they'd achieved was already lining their pockets. Who knew how low we would fall under their watch and how lucky we are to still be a club. Dark days football wise. In truth, I want the league title- I really do, but more than that, I want an incredible club to follow that hopefully my kids can follow and beyond. Under fsg there have certainly been naïve mistakes but we have survived the storm and this agonizing wait for the final is just an incredible bonus after the last few years of disappointment. I really hope I see mr Henry sitting in the stands that night grinning for the fans and cameras. He has certainly earned the right.

Ok so we have a negative net spend over the last few seasons.

The foundation have been strengthen this season, I would really like us to go an get some finished articles and a full on assault on the premier league.

Have full faith in Klopp and recruitment team for however they want to target.

Watching Salah and Kane yesterday really made me appreciate how great Salah is.

Salah played like he cared more about the team than the golden boot. His running was unselfish, and put a couple of chances on a plate for others. The way he celebrated after setting up Solanke, you'd think he scored himself! He was so pleased for his team mate to score. Even if Kane had got another 2 goals, He'd still have lost the race because Salah has about 10 more assists than Kane! Which sums them both up as players. Salah scores a lot whilst playing as part of a team, whilst Kane just shoots repeatedly, and often to the detriment of his team.

One moment yesterday summed Kane up. He was forced wide in the penalty area but there were 3 unmarked Spurs players in between the penalty spot and the goal line. Kane looked up, saw them, then put his head down and ran into Wes Morgan. He rugby tackled Morgan trying to get past him so he could shoot for himself but lost the ball. In a great sense of poetic justice, Leicester counter attacked and scored about 10 seconds later.

If that wasn't enough, he then started blabbing in the interview about how it was his target to get to 30 goals and how he was pleased with himself. Me, me, me. Who cares if they won nothing? Kane can massage his own ego sone more.

In contrast, Salah has dedicated every individual award to his team mates for making him the player he is. If Spurs fans reckon Kane is worth £200m then Salah is worth £800m because he is twice the player, and twice the man 😂.

So interesting fact about our defense - since the big loss to Spurs, it's been the best defense in the PL. Not Chelsea, not City, not United - us. It's been so good in fact that we finished the season with the 4th best defense and the third highest number of clean sheets. The turnaround since that day has been outstanding and if we can maintain that solidity, we can really hit the league as a priority next season and reasonably expect some joy.
