This time last season we were already out of contention for the PL, look at us this year! When you look at the league table, pay attention to the points column, not the good column. After a World Cup and with some key signings I’m sure Klopp is holding them back a bit. I’d call that shrewd management.

My theory is he’ll aim to keep it the same through the cliched ‘packed festive fixture schedule’ then let them off the leash sometime in the new year. Assuming we don’t stutter beforehand, how the team balances when he does will be the biggest test of our title credentials.
