Anyone know if Klopp had a similar track record of unethical transfer approaches in Germany, or has this been highlighted because of Liverpool football club?

Surely a leopard doesn't necessarily change its spots, but this situation could rest on a nunber of issues:

- A lack of confidence in the current set-up by the manager.

- The inability of the staff to negotiate properly

- An arrogance from the manager with a disregard to all

- A simplistic naivety from everyone involved, from top to bottom

- The fundamental egotistical issue of being not being able to accept no as an answer.

Not that it bothers me of course, but it is intriguing.

Yes

He has all of the above whilst in Germany, nothing has changed sadly in regards to what you asked.

A decent coach but not world class, he has a lot going for him and more if he can work on his negative points.

Time will tell.

Decent coach? So what constitutes a world class coach then?

Anchelotti etc etc

Proven winners and leaders throughout Europe klopp is nowhere near that status yet and that's only one example.

{Ed042's Note - Tbf I can't think of many others apart from Ancelotti. There's Pep but he is still to prove that he does not only rely on money. }

Pep is far from world class in my opinion.

{Ed042's Note - Agreed. Mourinho might be but he seems to have waned off and is not as good as his Porto, OG Chelsea and Inter days. }

There are some tarts on here having a good moan.

We made a mistake and Southampton wanted over the odds for the player.

Many of you moaned over the apparent excessive fee.

At the end of the day, it's always the wools and glory hunters who want the world.

Anyway, I'm sure that the eds confirmed originally that we never intended to finally out for the player.

Now, with the new season all but a couple of weeks away, myself, like many of the other posters on here, am continuing to flap at the snail like approach to our transfer dealings, as our negativity and lack of confirmation of big-money signings really worries me.

I remember many on here (including myself) doubting the transfer fee of a certain player from Southampton, Mane.

On that basis, and if it does happen, he might just show us what he's worth.

Of course, we have have others to contend with, but you never know.
