Eds, are there any candidates for dof?
{Ed044's Note - the owners previously wanted Cruyff, but couldn't get him. There are few suitable candidates to my mind. Others may have different ideas...}
1.) Rodgers' strengths are as a coach and improving players. I don't think anyone can deny he's improved Hendo, Studge, Sterling and massively improved Suarez during his time at the club. He falls down on tactics and strategy. It's a shame he hasn't worked under a quality DOF in order to help him in those areas; I think that would have made a massive difference to where we are at now
{Ed042's Note - I would hardly call it a strength. Look at lovten he was world class at Southampton. Even Barcelona wanted him. Now he seems like a headless chicken on cocaine
2.) That's due to the system though, high full backs and split cbs. I stand by the fact Rodgers is a good technical coach hence Jose rates him highly and promoted him at Chelski.
{Ed044's Note - agreed Essex. Rogers problem is his default tactical system, not his coaching of players.}
3.) Can't say I have seen a great improvement in Hendo. He still looks out of his depth. Had a few good games, but hardly lived up to billing. Agree about Lovren, no idea what is going on.
{Ed044's Note - totally disagree. He was integral to our performances last season, and his red card against City was a big blow to our chances.}
4.) I think henderson is extremely overrated by liverpool fans and extremely underrated by everyone else.
He's a good player and would make any squad better just because of his work rate, and passion. He's got some tricky passes in too.
But he's not the best out there.
{Ed044's Note - I would argue that he's been largely underrated by LFC fans as well. The lad has talent in buckets. But you're right, he's not the best out there. Yet.}
5.) Who said he's THE best? He's a quality player who has improved loads over the last two seasons. He's struggling at the moment like the whole squad
6.) I think he's quality but I don't think he would've made much difference. The defense was a shambles. And the manager cost us a lot with the chelsea game. But that's easy to say in retrospect.
