Said numerous times I thought Spain would win the World Cup. Hands up, they went out without bothering to get into second gear. Brazil perhaps?

Ugh I tried, I even started this post twice, but I just can't wish England good luck tonight. It's just not in me. I'm sorry folks. I'll go halfway and hope all fans out there stay safe and avoid any crowd troubles or Russian dramas. And may the tournament be kind to the Liverpool players in rich experiences and hopefully not too many injuries.

My wife won a meet and greet with fowler in Wicklow tomorrow, so excited. Apparently he's going to let us all know what he thinks of Ramos.

Bleeding typical. Today is the launch of my debut novel and already it's a disaster. Missed Man United match thanks to my wedding a few weeks back and yet again I'm missing kick off today because the launch party is at 5pm. However, the real nightmare is Kane has just strolled in to the place with sharpie in hand and begun writing his name all over my books.

Horrible season so far. And then they do this. This is why being a Liverpool fan is the absolute best. #believe. I had the honour of sitting beside a Man Utd fan watching this miracle. It was delicious. Like burrito with extra refried beans delicious. He thanked me profusely for not rubbing it in his face too much. Overall- as a day- my rating is 5/ 5. I will come here again. The best way to watch a match 90 years in the making.

Okay, I have to admit it, the klopp photo with Shaquiri is amazing. Could you imagine shaquiri misbehaving and klopp standing over him with that snarl. It'd be terrifying. I'm convinced.

I think a lot should be made of the owners for the brilliant season we are having. I remember the last cl final we were going to and the enthusiasm we all felt at these new American owners who were certain to lead us into a new dominant era. I still remember them side by side as they sat grinning for the fans and cameras. The epic swindle they'd achieved was already lining their pockets. Who knew how low we would fall under their watch and how lucky we are to still be a club. Dark days football wise. In truth, I want the league title- I really do, but more than that, I want an incredible club to follow that hopefully my kids can follow and beyond. Under fsg there have certainly been naïve mistakes but we have survived the storm and this agonizing wait for the final is just an incredible bonus after the last few years of disappointment. I really hope I see mr Henry sitting in the stands that night grinning for the fans and cameras. He has certainly earned the right.

Maybe I'm deluded but I just don't think the lads bothered to get out of first gear last night. I think we had the ability to easily win but we weren't exactly sure how to play. We were slow in everything we did and our counter was labored. There were moments when we dominated which ended up with a goal, and then we reverted back to doing just about enough. It's strange- I wasn't overly concerned. I was just watching the clock and watching the minutes go down. Even as they pushed towards the end I just kept thinking we could step up a gear if it was needed. Thankfully it wasn't.
