So just days after beating Liverpool for thier third straight and thirteenth title in all in the CL/ european cup Zidane leaves Madrid. It's a funny old game.

Good to hear Mo is confident he can play in Russia. He will know what his shoulder feels like now and what he was told last night so hope it is true. He deserves to play on the World stage.

So it appears that both teams that beat Madrid in the CL this season, Spurs and Juventus, did it by playing defensively, packing the midfield and working on the counter attack. They both had just 32 % possession and both won 3-1. Madrid could work nothing through the middle and were pushed wide and crosses were defended. i'm not saying that is the only way to beat them but it works. Just hope the meeting fire with fire approach doesn't get us burned.

Seems there is a lot of mutual respect already between ourselves and Roma. I'm glad as this could be a festival of football. Two games where fans enjoy the teams performances and each other. Should be two cracking atmospheres. Of course we want a Liverpool win and that will never change but with the fans behaving and enjoying what happens before and during the game and hopefully after this could be very very special.

Have to say aside from his " he touched me ref can I have a free kick please" moment that lead to the first goal VvD was fantastic tonight. As was Loveron. Liverpool rode their luck a little. But we have had enough against us this season and they say it balances out. Well done lads, on Saturday we go again. BTW wow, Roma, what a result.

Im not sure the MTV style video Lauris Karius has posted about his jollies in L. A. will help make people think he's anything more than a champagne Charlie. I read that some former players of very successful Liverpool teams of the past were not impressed with the way he carries himself in the City and this won't help. Keep your head down, train hard and don't post your pop staresk videos. Surely the best way to win people round.

NK8. Will be seeing a lot of that next season me thinks. The midfield now consists of Hendo, NK8, Ox, Gigi, Milner and Fabinho. Even without the possible addition of another top player that is a tasty line up, pace, power, passing, defensive ability, box to box, and intelligence it has it all already. Keep them fit we have something there.

So last game of the PL season tomorrow. Need a point to seal top four but I'm very confident they will get all three in some style. The team has had a full weeks rest for the first time in a while. And no disrespect to Brighton but they do not travel well and will not be sent out to kick lumps out of the Liverpool players so can see a comfortable 3 or 4 nil. Full focus on Brighton and look no father than that game and three points will come.
