West Ham seem to be building a pretty decent team, our first game of the season might not be so straightforward. Especially with players returning from World Cup duty.
Anyway, Lucas is sheer class. He posted a thank you and good luck message to Felipe Anderson, wishing him all the best in the league except against "my Liverpool".
He truly is an adopted Scouser, just like Kuyt, Garcia and Agger.

Away from the usual transfer speculation, I'd like to wish Emre Can all the best in Juventus. He may be slow and and limited at times but he always gave it his all. Never moaned despite being played all over the pitch. Especially under Rodgers.
He was instrumental alongside Henderson in our ill-fated run-in to Basel and even played through injury in the last few weeks of the 16-17 season, helping us secure Champions League football once again.

It's a shame Burnley didn't manage to take points off Chelsea.
But nothing changes for us, 2 more wins out of the last 4 PL games needed to secure Top 4. Forget Roma for now, we can't afford to take it easy and cruise against WBA.

Made up for Solanke and Robertson who got long awaited and well-deserved goals today.
But I'm more thrilled about Lallana's return from injury. His quick feet, turns and ability to beat any defender without relying on pace has been missed. Just needs to build on some match fitness and he'll be ready for Kiev.
How good does it feel to actually have options of the bench for the Champions League final? Our 1st XI might not be so predictable and straightforward unlike the past few games against City and Roma.
Win or lose against Madrid it has been a great season of improvement under Klopp!

Ox out for the season.
Absolutely gutted for him. He's worked hard and has shown loads of improvement under Klopp. He deserves to be playing in the CL final (if we get there) and the World Cup.

Not too bothered about us dropping points here. No injuries and a new record for Mo Salah. We need to put things into perspective before slagging of our players.
Let's be honest: the lads just weren't up for it as they were looking forward to Roma. WBA wanted it more than us and fought back well.
When you play a team of players who were either disinterested or players who haven't played much recently due to injury, you get such a mediocre and disjointed performance.
Not much harm done other than giving up 2nd spot to Man United and potentially galvanising Roma. But it doesn't matter, I'm 100% sure Klopp will give them a good bollocking and they'll up for another famous European night under the lights at Anfield.

This is the Liverpool we know and love!
Complacent and way too comfortable when in the lead. Moreno, Klavan and Gomez weren't very sharp and made a few errors. Gomez put us under pressure numerous times with his poor passing and defending in general.

Brilliant workmanlike and professional performance. Made up for Firmino, he worked so hard today and thoroughly deserved his goal.
It seemed as though Salah was trying a bit too hard to score today (especially in the 1st half) and was a little bit selfish. Hope Lovren's injury is not too serious, we were shaky at the back once he got injured.
