How was that not a penalty. VAR absolutely bottled it again.

More Internet rumours nonsense.
First: Klopp is not leaving.
Second: Lijinders to be next manager.

Somebody trying to unsettle Citeh?

What would be your best first team 11 if you could fill each position with any Liverpool player from any era? I’ll take 5 subs for the bench also.

Just saw a brilliant stat about Darwin. Darwin has scored 7 goals away from home in the PL this season.

He has opened the scoring 4 times and scored 3 stoppage time and of those stoppage time goals, 2 have been stoppage time winners. Not to forget the game winner at B'mouth in the Carabao Cup.

Yeah, opposing fans. Keep calling our Darwizzy "a s*** Andy Carroll" and let's see how that works out for you.

So the 'controversy' around our match against Forrest rages on

Some pundits are now saying the circumstances leading to our winning goal is a bit a misjudgment but the ref but an obvious ploy against Forrest. And that legal actions should be taken and the match replayed in the name of fairness and integrity.

What a great time we live in that men on courage and integrity have now emerged from the abyss and stepped forward to moot such a radical idea.

I just happen to recall that in another game in this very season, a perfectly legit goal was called offside by the onfield ref (it was close, so it's understandable) . It went to VAR and In spite of clear visual evidence that it was perfectly onside, VAR called it off and relayed the message to the onfield ref. When someone called them out that the image they were showing (onside) and their decision (offside) was incoherent, they hid behind protocol and said they can't do anything. Alas, the team on the receiving end of the decision lost the game eventually. Of course, there was still about 70 mins to play and 2 dubious red cards, so the team could be blamed for not digging out a result I was told.

Post match, when the affected club hinted it may explore legal action, many said it's shameful and the club should man up and accept mistakes is a part of life and support the refs and not make their lives more difficult. They also called the club and it's manager disgraceful for suggesting a replay would probably be the best option.

How I wish these men of integrity were born and alive, and had a platform to voice their esteemed and enlightened thoughts to seek redress for the maligned club that suffered such injustice. Alas, they weren't around then and so no one spoke up for the marginalised. If only these men of integrity, courage and justice were around then, I wonder what they would have said? Makes you wonder what a missed opportunity, if only these men of integrity were present. Wrong time, wrong place, wrong club perhaps?

Another game, another grinded win. It was a tough match as it was the 3rd within a week, with a depleted squad, and up against a compact defence with pace to burn on the counter. I thought we actually did well to win it somehow.

Kelleher - outstanding goalkeeper. He has let in a few soft ones when he deputised earlier this season but he has gotten better the more he played. He also seems to have acquired Alison's 1v1 skills as he has kept out quite a number now.

Konate - he is just a beast of a defender. Reads the play well, is strong, aggressive and front footed. Really hope he can keep up with the fitness side of things as he will be so crucial in the run in.

VVD- just him being him. Rolling back the years and being an amazing captain for us.

Robbo - the fact that he can be playing at this level after the injury he suffered and being out for about 2 months itself is amazing. Not back to his best yet but am glad he's back.

Bradley - I'm no longer 'impressed' by him because I think he has well and truly established himself as a mainstay in the starting 11. These levels of performances are now expected week in and out. TAA has a fight on his hand to win back the RB slot.

Gomez - the ultimate utility man now. Can play 5 positions in the team and this cover is so crucial for us in this run in. Personally felt he played his best at LB for us this season and am just glad he is still with us and only 26 yo.

Clark - good run out and I'm sure he learned so much more about himself and the game. Good to see that he is fearless and won't shy away from a duel or shot.

Macallister - I just want to see more of him in the number 8 role. Hardworking, always probing and so calm and precise with the assist. I think him, szoboslai and Endo are probably our best starting midfield now. Somehow him and Jones still needs to work through some dynamics but I'm sure they will come good as a partnership too.

Nunez - scored and celebrated like the wild man we know he is. Enough said.

I've to end off here as I'm rushing off to another activity but I'm so proud of the team and the kids that were involved. Just as people have been lauding City and Arsenal, I think they forget we are the team leading the table and takes some stopping too.

I know people have questioned Mac and some don't think he would be in our best first 22. Today though he showed why he will always be in our best team, total class today when others struggled.
