Not sure if this has been said before but going forward the captain should hold the game ball until VAR has successfully been confirmed. Take the yellow. LFC would be well within their right to take that step and confirm decision was correctly confirmed. They can be polite and no aggressive behavior over it and essentially state it as it is. After the Spurs game we are ensuring things are communicated properly before play resumes.

Too bad RM couldn't play like this when playing us.

So tonight was at best pathetic. Overall big picture it's not the end of the world. The other 2 drawing made it less frustrating. All that said the boys need to start finishing. We let the Gunners get a point, we allowed Red Star to win. We keep creating chances but seem to keep choking. Players occupying same places, playing weak passes and not making a full challange. We are hurting ourselves more than being hurt by the opposition. Whatever the lads need to do to fix it I hope it happens soon. It's not all doom and gloom jus to frustrating.

So I’m still caught up on the UAE connection on this VAR shambles. I’m not one to believe conspiracy theories and all that chaos. I honestly believe what needs to be done next is a proper investigation into referees from other leagues involved in doing side jobs in the UAE. First would be pay. Are certain refs paid more than others especially if higher paid ones are also working in their FT gigs in a league that has team ownership in their FT league gig. That’s a starting point. If there are referees being paid more than other UAE referees and they are also working in a league that has ownership in UAE (league itself vs team) and same ownership has a team in that referees league it would be at best highly questionable. This entire thing is just looking like a total con job. Was it Ed01 below who had a reply on how if a teams owner were going to cheat they wouldn’t enhance their team they’d make it harder for the competition, something along those lines.

So I've watched the goal celebration with Klopp and Kostas for the 100th time at least and it got me thinking. We are ere lucky at Liverpool. It's one thing to have players in the first team who are big personalities etc but we have some class ones on the bench. Kostas is a mad fecker, he seems like a person you'd want to have a few scoops with. Divock, what more can be said than what he has shown multiple times, Ox, Millie and the list goes on. They are all so involved in the chemistry of the team that even when not playing they're making a positive impact, it must be great for the youth coming through to be around as well. Long may it last, it can only bring positivity to the team and club.

To think that when we drew this group it was considered the toughest one and fans of the likes of Utd said we'd drop out and be playing Thursday night football etc. fair play to the lads they've done themselves proud yet again.

So was browsing FB and they had a video up of Kuyts hatrick against United. It got me thinking, how would he have fit into Klopp a system? Personally, I think with his work ethic alone he would have been brilliant.

So I see the what about so and so from posts coming in again. Could we use another player or two to bolster the team? Most likely but who leaves to allow them a seat on the bench? Our bench has been excellent this year in fairness and it's grest to see Danny back making an impact. We all knew Shaqiri had the potential it was a matter of application. So far I think it's fair to say he has shown he has it, plenty of it. Fabinho being allowed to settle is looking like a great move. He had a great game Wednesday.

As ed25 notes the opposition wasn't a test but nonetheless he grew into the game. Lastly rotating Hendo, Gini, Milner and Keita is proving to be a great treat. Sorry to say Llanna seems to have lost a step so maybe he can make room for someone, like Ox. My point after this long spout is let's see how we get on the next 2 months. Let's give our youth a chance. Let's not worry about others and how might they fit. Enjoy the weekend guys.
