Curtis jones had a very decent debut for England tonight .

I must say I'm very impressed but slightly annoyed the way the club keep player comings and goings under wraps so much these days .

We needed a little reset . We won
I'm more disappointed that at 2-0 up we encouraged wolves to have a go with the way we played rather than wolves bartering us

I get the whole preserve energy in game but we are playing a team fighting for survival and reenergised from the manager . We got away with that today .

Take the 3 move on but bigger tests are coming and more is needed .

Thank god the window is closed normal service resumes and we can enjoy the redmen once again . We haven't signed the positions that most craved but we also haven't sold anyone near the 1st team either . Hopefully sort some contracts out now and get down to business .
3 points Sunday would be a great start . Can't wait to see chiesa play for us I think it could be the best business of the whole window depending on how he gets on (I've a feeling he will be a hit) . Some serious forward options we have and I know people don't see it this way but in midfield aswell we have some really really good players that are very gifted . I
Think we might be a bit of a force this season if we can keep players fit we have every chance.

Now that the us tour is over and the team head home 3/ 3 and only 1 goal conceded I have to say I've watched all 3 games of the tour and last night was especially worth staying up for .

I thought mo looked really sharp and was looking ominous hopefully we hear of an extension if only a year or 2 as the man has still got fire in his belly and magic in his boots I'd just like to see him rotated and not run into the ground like previous seasons . (Get the best of mo )

Over the 3 games Quansah Elliot and Bradley look to be my picks of really ready for this season and all 3 could and should feature heavily in slots team much like they finished last season really

A big mention to jones aswell as he looks to be one to watch under slot he looks like he could finally have his big impact year (if he can avoid injury) I know that's been getting said for about 3/ 4 seasons now but this slightly slower more patient build up suits him perfect and on top of that he seems to have matured and is prepared to do the dirty work for others which I never thought he would be that player

You can really see positives of the team and coaching is starting to come to fruition most notably more late arrivals in the box when we are attacking .

Not to try and sound like a broken record but more control in the middle is what's needed to this team because they look like they can defend and they can surely attack . Once Macca returns I can see him being integral to this possession and playing in triangles style of play . But Macca alone won't solve this problem

I don't think wholesale changes are needed the way some fans are talking but a tweek here and there and it looks like a nice trajectory for the team .

We need to sort the contracts for mo Trent and virg rapid . Then I think that gives us a clear sign of what is needed .

Then we need to decide if Sepp vdb is buying in to us as a team or still wants his move he will get game time as hopefully we are on another 50-55 game season . If not he needs to go to make space (I'd prefer to keep personally I think he's done quite well and looks better on the ball than I thought he would )

Same goes for carvalho and endo they need to go if they're not in the plans .

Potentially same for tsimikas he can definitely be upgraded (I'd be all in on ait nouri from wolves think he could be a great long term Robbo replacement)

But even without a signing and some outgoings we still have a great squad for the upcoming season and providing their are no major shock departments and bad injuries to the team I fully expect us to be right up their with city and arsenal .

Come on the red men ??.

So for all the people who's world is ending following the news of klopp let's just pause and realise how great of a club we are regardless of the manager .

The club was a dominant force in the 70s and 80s from shankly to Paisley to fagan and then failed to reinvest when on top leading to the poor 90s when the money poured in and egos grew but failing to realise the foundations of hard work on and off the pitch which served us so well .

All of this whilst dealing with the sporting disaster and tragedy of hillsborough which many are still dealing with and we now know the extent of the s**t show and miscarriage of justice that goes with that .

We then came in to the 00s and had some great memories houliers heroics to the miracle of Istanbul .

The least said about the hodgson era the better

Rodgers came in and we played some fantastic football at times but ultimately he was his own downfall by thinking it was all about him and not realising the magnitude of the club he was at and pushing out players so he was the main man .

Klopp came and got us back on track in what can only be described as a shankly esque style of management in making the whole red part of the city believe again the giant awoke but it was never really fully asleep

The league title evaded us for many a year yes
But throughout the decades even when we were dire we still won trophies we always have intact I think we've won the fa cup every decade since the 60s

We are Liverpool football club it's more than just 1 man it's a collective and klopp has made us realise that again to stay great everyone has to play their part

So whoever the next man in the door is ( let's hope he's more paisley than hodgson) and we all continue to do what we do under klopp have that never say die attitude get behind the team and club and can look forward and not get stuck in well klopp wouldn't of done this and that .

In the words of the king himself
No one person is bigger than Liverpool football club .

Nor should it be

We are in a really good place and a lot of that is klopps doing but the next man in can take us even further I'm sure of it because we are Liverpool football club.
