Hopefully if we get another we can take off Gravenberch, Cody and Mo…no need for Grav picking up a silly yellow and missing the United game when we can bring in Endo or Elliott.

Watching the Burnley v Chelsea game and all I can say is OMG! Chelsea have got a penalty from absolutely nowhere if I was Burnley who are fighting for survival I would be fuming and to compound it further the player got a 2nd yellow for a non tackle! Can’t wait for Webb to come out and explain how this meets the threshold of a penalty…gobsmacked.

It had to be Darwin! Great 3 points today and pressure piled on Arsenal for a difficult game against Villa…our 1st half’s are becoming a real problem and it really looks like we are underprepared and don’t have a solid game plan because once we come out after half time we are like a different side. Trent did well today and made the decisive goal with his driving runs forward.

I feel sorry for Kelleher, has been great lately and earned us point in other games but tonight that equaliser was a howler and completely unnecessary.
Nunez is 1st out the door for me in the summer, all hot air and no composure! Diaz performs far better up top than him and I would be playing him as No9 until Jota is back.

Another 3 points on the board which is all that really matters after an international break and entering a busy schedule. A few poor performances out there today which I am hoping is due to tiredness. Felt the tactics with Bradley and Robertson really didn’t work, both kept coming inside taking up space and it led to Gakpo constantly having to hold width and then cut back inside onto his right foot.

All this talk of David Coote has really got the media in overdrive and the PGMOL PR team will be working overtime.
I find it baffling that so much is being made about refs not being biased but let’s all be honest here, we all have unconscious bias that we can’t control. If Coote liked or disliked Liverpool or Klopp is pretty much irrelevant because I think if you asked every referee in the premier league who they liked and who they hated they could name 5+ managers and players they dislike.
The media appear to be missing the point and I’m unsure if they are doing so intentionally. Coote shouldn’t be fired because he likes one manager less than another he should be fired because the ref is supposed to act with integrity and the way he spoke on that video lacked any sort of integrity. Coote on what appears to be a night out is spouting off on camera how much he hates the club and manager, surely this highlights that he cannot separate his personal feelings from his professional life and that has to call into question his decision making on the pitch because our morals and views don’t wash off when we cross the white line.
There has been a lot of references to past decisions Coote has been involved in which haven’t gone our way and to be honest I don’t know where I side with it because I don’t like calling corruption but he has brought this level of scrutiny on himself and the PGMOL and it can’t be whitewashed. The media keep saying out he made a mistake but refs don’t carry bias into games and they wouldn’t intentionally make questionable decisions however we do live in a society where people commit crimes every day and yet still walk among us so I find it hard to believe that a referee is above society’s moral standards and infallible, time to wake up and reform PGMOL, bring in independent regulators and have some accountability.
