With many big clubs as of late excessively spending huge money and giving crazy wages to anyone it's such a relief we are opposite in our approach. Seen a crazy stat regarding United. Since 2009 not one of their signings has made a profit of more that 7 mil when sold.

Interesting to see what CBs might be available or affordable for us in January. By the time we roll into the 2nd half of the season the league will be taking shape and we hopefully be well in contention while also preparing for European knockout stage. Without our 2 best CBs long term we could really do with someone that has the experience or style of play suited to come right in and be ready to settle immediately.

Certain players klopp has spent months conditioning them to our mould like robbo, Fabinho, OX, minamino for example as they were either coming into the league or adjusting to new tactical ideas.

Just for a bit of fun.

From squad number 1-20 the Liverpool players have worn in the PL era try to pick the best player for each number while considering that some players wore more than 1 number and try to work out fitting in the 20 best players possible. Here's mine.

So we're half way into this annoying 2 week international break and I'm cracking up. Thinking ahead to United next week has me very excited but also a touch of nerves.

After the last international break we were heading into a period of 7 games in 22 days. 4 in the league, 2 in Europe and 1 in cup. I mentioned on here that I felt this run of fixtures was vital to stay in a strong position. We were 2 points clear of city back then, we've now opened up an 8 point gap. We've won our games by tight margins and not free flowing but city have dropped 6 points against wolves and Norwich which is a huge worry for them. I'm so glad we've managed to win maximum points to punish their loss of points.

It would have been frustrating to drop 2 points yesterday and I'm sure city would have seen our last gasp winner as a kick in the teeth. Delighted now going into this next break in such a strong position. Let's keep it going hopefully and not take our foot off the gas.

Looking forward to arsenal on Saturday after having a full week to prepare, anfield will be the difference, our team is designed to hurt this type of arsenal side at home, they're dreadful on the road too.

I'd want Gomez back in for his pace, fabinho and hendo with either gini or ox. Milner not the best option to start this type of game. I'm not worried about arsenal, they can't afford to start all 3 of auba lacazette and pepe with ceballos too. Maitland niles will be in for a tough day with robbo and mane if he's not given help on that wing. Same on the other wing.

Ceballos looked good at the Emirates against Burnley where he had acres of time and possession, he won't get that at anfield and a slow rash xhaka beside him won't be of any benefit. A CB partnership looking shaky will be dragged about by our front 3 and arsenal will find it hard to get their forwards into dangerous areas.

Arsenal really looked dodgy against Burnley and Newcastle both teams lacking real attacking threat yet they caused all kinds of problems. I can see us cutting them to shreds personally and inflicting a real hammering.

I'm usually very realistic and always cautious so this isn't red tinted over hype, I genuinely feel this is set up to be a big mis match in style.
Thoughts?
