You say in the beginning that City are a shadow of a team they were and end up by saying City were excellent. Hard to take anything from your post. You cannot have it both ways either they are good or not good.

I doubt anyone analyzed the game at all. We did not do what it takes to beat city which was to attack and cut their passing lines on how they play. You cannot contain city especially their attack and midfield. you need to attack them. Years would pass by and people wouldn’t still get it. Hoe did we beat them last year? Counter press! Simple

I don’t understand how Keita doesn’t get a game in these type of matches when you need someone very direct, skillful to drive from midfield. He would have taken Fernandinho out from the game completely just like AOC did last time around.

I would add Keita also in that spine! Wholeheartedly agree eight you. Fernandinho is the best CM in the league and by some mile and big note to Bernardo Silva as well.

The game would have been much easier had we went into with the same attitude like previous year. Attack is the best form of defense. Lyon ran rings around them at Ethihad. 3 workhorse in the middle and got ripped apart by Bernardo Silva!

We could do by signing a RB this month! Not a mammoth task and certainly in a much better situation than previous years to attract a decent RB. It’s the same case on the opposite flank as well. Clyne should go.

Can someone tell me why did we not attack City yesterday like we did last season and tried a conservative approach. I get that we shouldn't discuss about a loss on the page but any genuine explanation would be of great welcome. Any perticular reason why we benched two of our best central midfielders for a workhorse and yet we did not press them?

Yes we are top of the league but as someone who loves the game and every bit of detail, it would be a breath of fresh air if we look back and check what actually went wrong given we are coming back from a thumping win against arsenal.
I know we should be supporters of the team but we could also be a half decent football fan who knows what we are talking.

I don't know what you would call me but Klopp got it wrong yesterday in not having a go at city who themselves would have played into our hands unlike how they set up for a draw at Anfield.

We might win the league but I would love to have a decent discussion about every game that we play rather than " get over it " when we lose.

Let's not do a Lovren and get carried away because Brighton is a very good team at home and we narrowly escaped at Anfield. They were the better side against Arsenal recently and certainly could do some damage.
