The fact merino has been left out of the squad for today’s friendly further to interest from arsenal and Zubimendi hasn’t would suggest that any deal is far from being done, however I do think the deal will get done.

I posted earlier that I thought Alison would move on next year, just wondering what everybody’s are regarding that situation, would it be better to move him on and have Kelleher as no 1 with marmadashville as back up or sell Kelleher and keep Alison with jaros as backup? I think after this season’s performances it would be insane to allow Kelleher to leave.

Although salah is absolutely on fire at the moment you only have to look at players over 30, de brunye for example who was absolutely on fire 12-18 months ago to see that it only takes a couple of decent injuries at that age and as I know personally the recovery takes a lot longer and you are unlikely to ever reach the levels previously.
Salahs already on a disgusting weekly wage, I love salah but I love the club more and anything more than a year by year rolling contract based on performance is borderline financial suicide, and that goes for vvd as well, just look at the amount of people who wanted salah sold last season, the very same people now asking for him to be given a 2-3 year extension, I’m pretty certain the club will have been offering a more than fair package, balls is probably firmly in his court.

Away at saints was always going to be a tough day, the pressure of playing the bottom of the league with the chance to go 8 points clear at the top, the weather was horrendous but we ground out a result and it wasn’t pretty, looking at most of the comments on match posts it’s literally embarrassing coming from so many so called fans, the thing about champions is they always grind the wins out which is exactly what we are doing, what’s not to love.

So now it’s open season for chucking the ball at the back of a players head, I’m honestly shocked that no action was taken at all. guaranteed had it been Nunez who performed the act 100% straight red card, I’ve seen players sent off for kicking the ball at opponents before, absolutely ridiculous decision not to punish it may not be dangerous play but 1000% unsportsmanlike behaviour, refs and var brown nosing city again.
