Can’t lie, last couple of days transfer news is really concerning.

With Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle and even Tottenham having identified key weaknesses and strengthening i am worried we will begin to fall so far behind that not even one window will bring us back to where we want to be.

Shocking to be watching clubs going out and buying quality CMs when everyone knows that’s what we need. Owners and maybe Klopp included are shameless at this point. Bizarre mismanagement of the club.

Trent out for weeks apparently. Sounds like a bad one but hopefully he only misses Forest and Watford. If it’s 6 weeks as opposed to 3 could be the end of our title push.

Imo if we don’t sign another top quality CM this summer it will be as big a mistake as not signing a CB last year.

As good as Fab, Thiago and Hendo will be for us and is arguably the best midfield 3 in the league, all 3 will be out injured at some point next season. I am happy with Jones/ Ox or even Bobby filling in the more advanced role for a few weeks but we have no one to play at the base of midfield .

An untimely injury to Fabinho/ Hendo or both could derail our season completely and is not a risk worth taking. We need to be capitalising on the fact we have such a strong squad and be winning the league another couple of times before it’s time for the inevitable rebuild.

A lot of talk about signing Kabak but I genuinely think money would be much better spent elsewhere. He may be young but his positional play is poor and he is slow on the turn, rash and poor in the air. Never a starter in a championship/ champion league winning team. Actually reminds me of a younger version of Lovren.

First time poster here but have been an avid reader of this site for years - always wanted to contribute but never had time!

I’ve read a lot of posts on here about the reason for the drop off this year and to me it’s pretty obvious that playing Fabinho and some times hendo at the back has thrown off the whole balance of the team.

My main concern though and actually for a couple of years has been the front 3. Even when we won the league last year we won a lot of games by the odd goal with a much more controlled playing style than when Klopp first took over.

I don’t the possession based football we play now particularly suits any of our front 3 as they are all very instinctive players. When given time on the ball mane and Salah in particular are awful and don’t seem to be able to pass a ball 5 yards. If we had someone in the front 3 who had pace and could actually pick a pass rather than always having the play break down I believe we would have fared much better this year even with all the injury issues.

Be keen to hear if others have noticed this and what people’s thoughts are.
