Here's a simple way to resolve the upstart bottom dwellers demanding home games. if the league decides to play at neutral venues and they don't oblige, then relegate them. If they don't want to play ball and help the greater good of the game, then they can get lost.

Their home game argument is also nonsensical and irrational, because:

> They're not the only teams being denied home games. EVERYONE is. Everyone is at the same 'disadvantage'.

> Home stadia provides virtually no advantage without the 12th man in the stands. The benefits of pitch and dressing room familiarity are negligible at best.

> If they were so good at home, then they wouldn't be in the drop zone in the first place. They're in the drop zone because they don't win enough home games and they don't win enough away games against teams with a home advantage behind them - except, no opponent will have a home advantage behind them anymore. Purslow's statement that Villa are a 'home form' team is rubbish. Again, if home advantage was so beneficial to you then you wouldn't be in the drop zone.

Wouldn't it be nice to see football clubs depend on their own skill and ability rather than the smell of their dressing rooms? Good grief.
