Really pleased with the draw.
Not because we got roma, but because either madrid or bayern go out and the winner will be the favorite to win the final.
Both would prefer roma imo.
Over 2 legs we can beat anyone. At this stage it's about the finer points and I believe VVD has bought those finer points to our team.
In a single game we need all our players fit, no nerves and self belief.
We need to belief in how we play and stick to it.
We will have to smash this year's champions league to win it so need to play with freedom and enjoy it like we did in the second half against city.
We are not going to tactically beat any of the other 3 teams.
Rock n roll football and let's rock Europe.
And if it don't succeed, at least we can Sat we tried.

I'm not buying the narrative that sterling got sent home the way it supposedly happened.
Something more has happened. Any idea what really happened.
In the game on sunday i felt the ref protected sterling excessively.
3 times he should have been shown yellow. The shove on arnold, the elbow on mane and the kick on vvd at the end of the game. On vvd how he gets away i have no idea.
He could have seen 2 yellows and sent off.
City were not as hard done by as they making out.

Player of the season?
Still long way to go i know.
Contenders this year are imo
Vvd, sterling, silva (bernado), fernandinho, aguero.
I better put harry kane as he is harry kane and no other reason lol.
Second tier would be son, robertson, Alison, abamayeng, salah.
Regardelss of who wins the league, imo vvd have been by miles the best players in the league this year.
Imo sterling second.

Do we really need international football other than major tournamemts.
I would love your thoughts on it.
20 years from now i can see a massive decline in its popularity.
I mean 20,000 turn up to watch belgium according to talk sport.
Is it because fans can stretch their finances so far.
Make it international football free imo.

We lost to United and in 29 years of following the reds this is the first time I'm not really bothered.
Why.
Well - I watched a game where a team who has dominated English football for 21 out of the last 25 years finally acknowledge that Liverpool are once again a team to be feared.
They have given us massive respect during the game and the overreaction from their win really tells a story of relief.
They know full well that they are in for a fight with Liverpool going forward and we are back.
My only disappointment is our game mentality and the mentality of fans to criticise a 19 year old kid.
Arnold is 19. Is is going to make mistakes.
I bet he knows he made the mistake. Getting on his back helps no one.
As for our mentality, I think mourinho got it right when he said it's just another game. We went in with a point to prove and we were far to eager to win. Our eagerness was our undoing imo. Or lack of mturity/ experience.
We need to get over this loss just like any other. We need to raise our game.
We have had a kick up the arse which will get us focused.
A FOCUSED liverpool is what United do not want. Let's go and give it to them.
They won 3 points.
We could win the next decade.
I'm a truly happy red even after defeat.
