My MoM was Endo. I thought he was magnificent in the 90 minutes. A real cool, calm and composed performance ?.

That Gordon penalty? Not in a million years. Watch again and see Matip's left is actually in the front of Gordon's shoulder. There is contact, its minimal. Never a penalty in my eyes, certainly not a push the ref and VAR came to the correct decision.

Anyway, very surprised by Everton's antics yesterday. What a prise prat Pickford is, winking in the first half etc. Came back to bite him in the arse. Everton won't win many games playing that type of football and it is points they need after all.

Not Liverpool related but Man Citys bench tonight. Mind blowing when you look at it. £100 million circa for their CBs on the bench, Aguero, Sterling, Jesus and Torres as their backup forwards and Mendy, £40 million for their backup left back.
A different playing field were only Utd could compete imo.

While we have made modest improvements to the squad, compared to other teams around us such as Chelsea, City, United and Arsenal we are again struggling to catch up. So once again we are reliant on Klopp being able to get more out of the group that he has or some of the younger players turn a corner and take massive strides this season. We have purchased Salah and Robertson (for a modest fee) and Solanke. We could well lose Coutinho, im really hoping not. I think we still need at least 2, maybe 3 quality signings to compete with teams around us this season.

Allison, Trent, Jones, Szobo, Thiago, Jota, Matip all out. Salah and Darwin both a concern.

The fact that we can still put a decent team out out is testament to the Stirling work Klopp has done. All other teams except City would just crumble in my opinion. By far the strongest squad we have ever had. Still need a few back ASAP and NO MORE INJURIES! We've had our fill, time to spread the love and see how City and Arsenal cope with 7/ 9 first team players out. It's only fair ?.

And Keita starts, with 4 other midfielders on the bench. 🤔🤔.

I'm going for an Everton and Man Utd double today. I know City are a bit behind but the more distance we can keep between them the better. Plus a Utd win will keep Ole in a job for a while longer. Win win i say 🙏🙏.

I agree we shouldn't be any worse than sixth which when you read it back is a pretty poor state of where Liverpool are right now. There is no reason why we don't have the capability to take over Spurs. They don't spend loads and their wages are under control. So it just comes down to management, buying the right players and coaching. After that is where our problems start. Getting into top 4 we will need to unearth some real quality players, like Dortmund . There is no way we can compete with the teams above us on wages or buying players, especially with the new rules in place. A miracle is required, but we live in hope.
