Ah, Mane is getting some right treatment in the Algeria game.

Cardiff have gone and beaten Brighton.
That's going to be a right battle down at theirs now.
We could do with an early goal tomorrow night if possible, settle things down.
Maybe Barcelona in the semis too, the lads would have to run their legs off to get anything out of that.
Full on finish to the season.
Hopefully get Joe back in a week or two, that could be very timely, especially if we progress in the CL.

Did anyone watch the news last night?
The Labour conference is from Liverpool and I'm sure I saw one of the lads off The Anfield Wrap on the telly, carrying a banner (not LFC) at the front of the Brexit march?

Well, that's another glimpse of Fekir and I still don't know what all the fuss is about?

We're privileged to watch that first half, brilliant football and goals.

Mohamed Salah, a gift from Allah
He came from Roma to Liverpool
He's always scoring, it's almost boring
But please don't take Mohamed away

Van Dijk and Wijnaldum came through the 2-3 defeat to Germany unscathed.
Both had reasonable games, VVD captained his side and was steady rather than spectacular. A touch casual for Gnabry's goal however.
Gini was his usual busy self, seems to get forward more for his national team.

De Ligt gets mentioned regularly on our pages. Not bad, scored with a towering header. He doesn't have Joe Gomez' pace or skill though. No way will he get in the first team ahead of Gomez imo.
The Dutch often revert to a back 3, with their RB Dumfries more advanced than Blind over at LB. Consequently De Ligt moves over more to the right, VVD central and Blind left centre. Most of Germany's attacks were focused down the Dutch right hand side. Sane and Gnabry interchanged and both looked dangerous running at De Ligt and the space behind Dumfries, especially in the first half.
So much so, it looked like Big Virgil swapped with De Ligt and went right towards the end of the first half?
Memphis, up front, played well and was the fulcrum of the Dutch threat.
Again, though, hard to see him get in our team ahead of Salah and Mane.

A decent match, all told. I'd fancy England to do well against either side, on that evidence.

OK Redmen, a little bit of nostalgia on the occasion of Shankly's birthday.
He managed Workington Reds in 1954 / 55 and lived in the town during that time.
I was told that he had a club house on Frostoms Road, don't know the number sorry.
At that time, the town would have had a huge steel plant and Shankly's house would have overlooked this. Indeed the works dominated the landscape, and lit the sky at night.
A tough old place, no millionaire pads and swimming pools then.
But still luxury compared to Glenbuck.

Is it just me, but I keep thinking that Shaquiri looks like a younger Gerry Marsden who'd been to the gym a bit?
Or am I just being "A Fool to Myself"?

Given the schedule over the next fortnight, I'd have taken three points and a poor performance all day long though.
I bet Klopp and the team would too, so I'll give them a bye for this one.
Three huge matches coming up.
1-1 draw at Anfield, beat Everton, then 2-2 at City.
Goodnight Vienna.
