Well it's derby day, yet another early kick off. This is not great for an already grumpy fat old man as working nights and having to find time to squeeze a few bevvies in before a match that kicks off at 12:30 is not a great sitch. But about the match, derbies always make me nervous and the usual toxic atmosphere is expected. I don't see anything easy here. We definitely need to keep stop them gaining any set pieces around the box. I'm going for a hard fought 2-1 victory with Nunez getting a late late winner.

Not Liverpool related but I have to say I'm really glad that arrests have been made over the abuse Vinicious Jr has received. It seems he gets targeted nearly every time he plays. People need to realise that this type of thing is not on. I'm no angel when I attend football matches and I can wind up the opposition fans and players to but to abuse someone because of their skin colour or where in the world they are from goes much to far.

Say we don't get top 4 which I suspect we won't, would it change anything in our targets minds? If a player wants to play for Liverpool then he wants the club no matter what. I remember we signed unknowns like big Sami and Camara. Both did excellent jobs for us (obviously Camaras impact was not as big as Samis) on top of experienced Premier league players like Barmby and Henchoz. 2 seasons later I think it was were in the semi final of the champions league. 1 season out of it and not getting huge names in the transfer market won't affect Liverpool being a draw.

Really looking forward to tonight. This is what being in the champions league is all about. I got a free bet on my betting account so put it on Mo to score anytime, us to win the first half and a draw for the second half. I think the best way to go about it its just blow them away early.

Some of the anticts from the Everton players yesterday would make Mourinho proud. The goal keeping time wasting and Richarlson and his non stop hitting the deck was like something from his Porto team. But anyway apart from the the goals the biggest highlights for me where of course Alison mocking Pickford. And the jaw dropping bit of control by Dias. To control it in mid air in a kind of jumping back heel. I haven't seen it played back yet but it's something I've never seen done before.
