If City win their last 26 games they can get a maximum of 98 points. Nobody has a clue on how many points will be needed to win the league but I’m sure it won’t be in the 90’s. I am guessing low 80’s. It means we are where we need to be. It’s been disappointing to see us drop points this season but with the lack of pre season, intensity of matches and lengthy injury list we are well placed.

Tonight should be interesting. I have us down for a 1-0 win. Won’t be pretty but it’s the points that matter against our rivals.

I'm not a betting man but just looked at the odds for winners of the Premier League. All the betting sites have Man City as odds on favourites. I have to say that surprises me. Liverpool are one point clear and have an easier run in. For anyone who thinks put my money where my mouth is, I'm far too superstitious to bet on Liverpool and jink it!

We all know how the press are. They look for non existent stories to sell papers. In my opinion the only reason why Mo isn’t smiling is he knows he isn’t performing to the same level as last year and missing chances mere humans miss. Last night he missed a couple of chances. He is upset with himself. Not at anybody else. He isn’t looking to leave. He isn’t unhappy with the kit man or the sous chef or the weather. Mo smiles when he’s performing at his highest level target. That’s all.

Just want to congratulate Dejan Lovren on using social media in a way that actually brings him closer to the fans rather than showing off and alienating himself.

Loving his sense of humour. His tweets about Modric capture his commitment to Liverpool.

What with him being Salah’s go-to BFF I can see Lovren ending up being a fan cult favourite.

Who would have guessed?

I don’t care how good any team is. Without luck they won’t win the Champions League. In both legs we got the luck we haven’t had for so many seasons. Marginal offside calls, disallowed goals, penalty claims and lack of wonder goals against us.

It seems to me that we’ve not had much luck the last few seasons.

It feels that all the overdue luck will edge us the cup.

So so happy today.

There’s something very special about Curtis Jones. Already looks lcapable of writing his name in the first 11 this season never mind breaking into the first time squad. For me he is ahead of Ox, Shaq, Keita and Miller.

Last couple of games he has been a little weak with his shooting. Curtis in a couple of years could be banging those opportunities in for fun once he gets the composure added to his game.

I genuinely think he has the potential to be Steven Gerrard class. Exciting times for the youngster. Even better he is a local lad.

I’m curious to see other points of view but in my opinion Robertson was fouled at the end of the game. Whether it was in or out of the box is another issue.

Defender nips the ball but only about a metre. He then specifically in a separate action takes Robertson out with his trailing foot. My argument here is that at the point where he takes Robertson out the ball is now back in play and Robbo would have picked it up and been on goal.

I get that in full speed it’s hard to see but isn’t that what VAR is supposed to see?

I’m not moaning about the dropped points. We had enough chances but I would like more knowledgable people’s input. Foul or no foul?

So we lost the league last season due to the difference of 1cm. This year we may lose out again to something even smaller which can only be seen under a microscope!

Stay safe everyone.

Would love to know if there is a statistic out there which measures minutes on field divided by number of yellow cards. I’m guessing Milner would be top of the charts. He’s picked up 7 yellows this season mostly when coming on as sub. I’m pretty sure he deserved all of them.

Does his job. True professional. I will also add none of his tackles were red card challenges. Not so long ago we were “too nice”.

P. S. he’s also decent on the field. I think he needs to start against Bournemouth.

From my point of view I believe this team has reached its peak and from hereon it’s downhill. Klopp knows this. He deliberately avoided signings in the summer to maximise the peak this season.

It is possible that we are already on a downward slope. I’m not talking relegation or not qualifying for top 4. I’m saying that we have maximised the total out of the sum of the parts.

Klopp will, I believe, make 2 or 3 signings this summer for players who can step into first team. Might take a while to get back to it’s peak and could see a 80 point season next year but then it will go right up again the following season.

My point being. We’ve had an amazing season and are worthy champions-elect. Now comes the minor dip and transition. Then we blow all other teams once again but first comes the new blood.

I’ll probably get slagged off for saying this but it’s just my view. I’m not basing this on saturdays result (which I was at! ) . I’m basing this on the performances this year and never quite reaching maximum gears for a while.
