I did not realise that Chelsea have just bought the last 2 midfielders on planet earth.

Instead of sulking about what ifs I suggest the scouting team go and do there job and find 2 midfielders who are obtainable, and while they are at it a left sided centre back.

We have shown countless times before we can do business quickly and efficiently so let's get back to that way of doing things.

Yesterday proved beyond doubt we need a DM to come in so let's get on with it and buy one.

One last observation: I love how any team that does not win the opening game of the season, that's it, there done, every season we hear the same old rubbish.

I still maintain if we get the players we need, plus what we already have, we can have a very good season.

I will also say I shall be glad when ALL the transfer windows are closed for a few months so that we can concentrate on the football.

Mane has not only won the AFCON he has just scored the penalty that has taken Senegal to the world cup.

Once again commiseration's to Salah such a shame he won't be going to the world cup.

I only hope his form does not take a turn for the worse as we need him to be in top form if we are to achieve a trophy laden season.

Tbh it seems like a lifetime since liverpool last played and i for one cannot wait for the game against watford.

we were promised "heavy metal football" instead of getting led zeppelin we are getting coldplay. why we stopped playing when we were getting plenty of joy down the right is a mystery to me. yes sturridge should have scored but that should have started the onslaught instead we retreated into our shell. frustratling inconsistent is how I would sum up our performances this season. momentum lost again.

The Robbie Fowler mural is a thing of beauty and totally deserved.

I watched the legends game yesterday and the club and its supporters did Sven proud.

It was obviously a very emotional day for him, but at least one of his wishes was fulfilled.

I wish him all the best and truly admire the fact he is dealing with his situation with class and dignity.

What a finish by Nunez!

Obviously the ever increasing injury pile up is not ideal but we have shown time and time again this season, we can overcome major challenges.

Mo's return could have not have come at a better time and it looks like Gakpo will have a bigger part to play going forward, sadly due to jota's injury.

Let the focus from elsewhere be on city and Arsenal, all we need to do is keep picking up the 3pts and Arsenal winning 100-0 will not make a blind bit of difference.

A special mention to Connor Bradley who picked up exactly where he left off, his family will surely be proud of him today.

next up Luton town and hopefully 3pts closer to title number 20.

I miss the heavy metal football!

Yes most games my blood pressure went through the roof, but by god it was exciting!

If we had played Luton like we used to play, we would have blown them away in the first 20 minutes.

I cannot understand why we moved away from the style that won us the title.

With the talent we have in the side, we should be right in Man city's face.

I never thought I would describe a team managed by Klopp as boring but when this possession based style does not work, that's exactly what it is to me.

I know we are only 3pts behind City but no matter which way we look at it, we dropped 2pts on Sunday.

Lastly the way Luis Diaz has conducted himself during this horrific time is a credit to his parents and I hope he is reunited with them soon.

Does anybody know how serious the injury is to gakpo yet?

I only hope Nunez will be available for the next game as with Jota being suspended and Gakpo injured our front 5 becomes 3.

The suspension to Curtis jones gives either Gravenberch or Endo a chance to get a run of games.
Personally I think its time we played Endo in the role we bought him for.

All I will say about yesterday is another top class assist from Salah and arguably Diaz's best ever Liverpool goal was criminally ruled out for a reason so bizarre it beggars belief.

It cannot be swept under the carpet, the PGMOL is not currently fit for purpose and ALL football fans have the right to demand better as that is what they were promised when VAR was introduced.

I can accept a defeat when it occurs after both sides are given a level playing field, what all football fans are currently getting for the money they are shelling out is frankly unacceptable.

How has it ever got to this stage?

Shock, horror Konate is injured again!

How can we build our future defence around this guy when he is always injured?

What was already a tough trip to Newcastle will now become even tougher.

If I was klopp I would abandon the hybrid trent tatic for this match or we could match or even better aston villa's result there.

In terms of this transfer Window it started off really well but has truly stagnated.

I have the feeling our transfer business is done and that sadly will be the difference between finishing in the top 5 and truly challenging on all fronts.

Our season seems to be reliant on players not getting injured, we have been here before and was only saved by a header from Allison Becker!

All macca said was they were in talks with 2 parties and everyone suddenly assumes it's either arab or Chinese, it could be anyone, good luck ed001 and 2 as these kind of posts are going to keep coming, some fans sadly get carried away with a fantasy and when reality kicks in they get abusive and angry.
