I see goals today against Spurs as both defences are poor at the moment.

A poor end to the Klopp era, but let’s be honest, we got close but were never destined to win the prem this season, we are not good enough.
Our forward line is weak, the only one I would keep is Diaz as Salah is gone, gat a rating of 2.88 last night ? and Gakpo is a bench player at best. Jota is made of straw and can’t stay fit so I definitely think we need not just a Salah replacement, but a new striker too.

Neville defends Coote yesterday saying he should keep his job, then a second video appears of the same man having a stripe in his hotel room whilst officiating at the Euros? Coote must have filmed himself, what an idiot!

1- Coote is finished, sacked today surely?
2- Neville is flawed in his judgements and comments, always has been.

Outcome:

Both should be removed from our tv sets permanently and the world becomes a better place ?.

If the reds could bring in one player in January that could assist our push for silverware, who would you love to see join the club?
I still insist that we are light up front, Nunez will never be my personal choice, way too inconsistent and erratic, and Jota way too injury prone.
I think Osmihen could be a good option and definitely more of a striker than Nunez.
I also think Ederson for midfield would be a top signing.
What’s your opinion?

Harvey Elliott up front?
Ok we got a win under our belts (Slots first) and I know not everyone is back yet after the Euros and CA but I honestly think we lack strength in depth up top.
Nunez is a corker on his day but he is very inconsistent, can be erratic and will always be 10-15 league goals a season max.
Jota is also a brilliant finisher on his day but he struggles to put a run of games together and will no doubt get injured several times throughout the season.
Gakpo I would prefer on the left, he is not a striker for me though I rate him overall.
Would love to see a prime Torres, Aguero type striker bought who can consistently put the ball in the net
Man City have Haaland and Alvarez both clinical
Real Madrid - say no more they are all clinical
Bayern have Kane or Musiala both top players/ finishers
Point is, if we aspire to win the prem or CL again we need to find our own clinical finishing solution
A difficult market but with the current availability, I would go for Ollie Watkins, great striker and prem proven.
