Started off well but ran out of gas today. Well played Brighton and credit to Potter for changing around the tactics which turned the game on its head. Either team could have won it. Fair result. Still undefeated in the league and only 3 points off the top.
We really need to improve our corners though. Robertson poor again today with the crosses. Mane was our best player today and looked close to his best.

What is everyone's opinion on Saint-Maximin as a cheaper Mane alternative in case we decide to replace him?
Whenever I've seen him play (not too often, admittedly), he has been really good. He could improve his end product, but I am sure Klopp and his staff can improve that aspect of his game.
To me, he is a better option than someone like Adama Traore, who has next to no end product and seemingly has a big ego as well.

What are everyone's thoughts on our lineup for the 2nd CL leg?
I would bench Wijnaldum. Although I doubt Klopp will, for reasons I cannot fathom. He slows down the play way too much. Thiago and Fabinho start for me.
We will have to go for an early goal and that's why I would start with 4 attackers. Firmino, Jota and Salah start for sure.
The question is do we start with Shaqiri or Mane? Shaqiri can provide that extra incisiveness and creativity in the final third and I have never seen him short on confidence which is a good thing. Mane on the other hand can be very destructive but he has been poor for so long and he looked finished when he came on against Villa.
For me the lineup should be:
Ali, TAA, Nat, Kabak, Robertson, Thiago, Fab, Shaq, Jota, Firmino, Salah.

Looks like wasted chances are going to cost us again. Not decisive or incisive enough in the final third as usual.
And what has happened to Alisson? Making too many mistakes off late. Let's hope we can turn it around in the 2nd half.

Firmino has been awful again. Mo looked threatening and was taken off. Not sure what is wrong with Mane's touch these days. Wijnaldum not offering anything again.
