Are all of you cool with the way Sly sports has gone after Sterling? It seemed hostile to begin with, but now seems like some sort of a witch-hunt. It wouldnt bother me if it wasnt for the fact that when players force a move to you - cough Lallana- it is reported as a player wanting to join a bigger team but when they want to move from you, the journalistic response has been pretty venomous. The KD handling of the Saurez v Evra incident was, obviously, horrific, and obviously the clubs image incured a huge amount of damage but do you think the recent conduct of ex-players/people associated has helped LFC's image?

{Ed044's Note - Interesting post Saint. I'll post a reply a bg later. I'm sure others will have a view too.}

Comms/PR at the club have been run by amateur hour for the last few years and whilst I appreciate FSG have and continue to do great things for our club, their appointments have been severely lacking in some key areas.

I sincerely hope that the "review" includes the toe-curling and sometimes horrendous PR gaffes and that the right advice and action is taken.

My suggestions would be the appointment of a hugely qualified, experienced, strong hand to properly mitigate and manage any potential further public embarrassments and to try and rebuild the club's previously hard-earned respect and trust.

Sly are just trying to make the biggest story possible out of it without upsetting their mate Rodgers. Rather than go with the fact that Rodgers has alienated a young lad or that he doesn't feel he can win trophies at Liverpool, they have decided to jump on Sterling and put the blame at his door.

Is it his fault? Partially, he has been badly advised by his agent and it has left him exposed to this treatment, when an agent should be looking to protect his client. It must be said that the club have handled the whole Sterling situation appallingly as well.

Sadly it is far too easy for the media to give the young lad all the blame, they like a scapegoat as it makes their job a whole lot easier.
