To be honest i had called a 1-1 draw yesterday but i didn't realise just how well we would play against spurs. The effort and pressing was infallible, i'm not sure i've ever seen a liverpool side work that hard. We are definately going in the right direction.

Just a shame then that the defending, ball retention and finishing from both sides was equally woeful! How the game ended up 1-1 i will never know, especially from our point of view, we fluffed up so many breaks and chances to score. Sturridge is playing at 50% and is frustrating, we should give him the chance to get back his confidence but he needs to show the same composure that he used to, like setting up coutinhos goal.

Coutinho was class, he tore walker a new one.

However, i have to stress to remind people that lallana and milner are wingers, or attacking midfielders if you like, and no matter how much they press or cruyff turn they need to present a goal threat or they cannot stay here for very long. Currently we are relying on coutinho and sturridge to provide the goals and if you think that's going to get us anywhere in the future, just letting lallana and milner off with it, then you're wrong. I admire the effort but they still are leaving it all up to others.

Henderson and Can also need to get among the goals though, especially henderson who misses a sitter or a cut back at least once a game.

Sakho had a bad game but we know he is a good player, it happens, calm down.

Annoyed we somehow didn't convert more chances but the focus is on dortmund now.

Having Firmino back soon will mean probably Lallana or Milner gets sat, and Firmino's our top goal scorer. Also, while I hope Can and Hendo get a goal every once in a while, that's not their role at the end of the day, I'd rather they bossed the midfield and protected our defense rather than score.
