VVD wouldn't come to us without approaching the player directly. Nothing to do with the money! The player had suitors namely Pep and Conte! We stand no chance against these two! I believe the reason we went through the back door.
We are not as attractive as people dream here! Did we approach Wijnaldum directly? NO!
