I know it was just bad rumours going round before, but does anyone have any thoughts on Rabiot now we've seen him a bit closer up?

These next three weeks or so are possibly the biggest the club has had in a generation in respect of games and opposition. In that time period they have PSG (h) Napolo (a) in the CL. Southampton (h) Chelsea (a) Man City (h) in the PL and Chelsea (h) in the leauge cup. If and it is a huge if the club can go undefeated that is a statement that no one can ignore. It's a hugely important run of games with top top opposition.

My understanding is the work in the states with ox is good. He's expecting to be playing again in january, maybe on the training pitch but kicking a ball. In a horrible twist his brother has broken his leg now as well. For those that don't know their mam Wendy is a physio so they will be doing their recovery work right. Nice family.

Apparently Alli will be fit to play against Liverpool on Saturday after withdrawing from the England squad with injury, he's a trooper.

Regardless of whether the Rabiot news regarding actual contact with the player is true, are there any legs to this rumour in the sense that we are looking to make space for another midfielder in the squad? Would seem strange to chase another holding midfielder when we already have our captain and a new signing who hasn’t kicked a ball yet in that position.

#LFC have agreed a £2.9m deal with Anderlecht for Lazar Markovic.
What a coup!

Couple of points about potential outgoing players. I’ve seen grujic mentioned for Leeds, I would love the move for the lad as a year at Leeds with Bielsa could do wonders for him and his development. But I’ve read he has already turned down two options for loans in the championship.

Mignolet and Karius’ options are twindling but i’m Guessing one will end up in Turkey. Think both deserve a new chance somewhere else especially Karius who has taken an underserved amount of grief but I personally think it’ll be migs that leaves with karius stayng as number two until January.

Then there is Markovic who I also think will end up turkey, another one we have massively let down.

Solanke needs a loan as he is massively down the pecking order especially if studge stays fit.

Below will likely be the 25-man squad for the PL including the minimum homegrown players required (just my opinion)

Becker
Karius
Migs

Clyne
Gomez
Robetson
VVD
Klavan
Matip
TAA
Lovren
Moreno

Gini
Hendo
AOC
Milner
Shaqiri
Fabinho
Kieta
Lallana

Firmino
Sturridge
Solanke
Mane
Salah

Have left out Origi, Ings, Markovic, Ojo, and a few others.

Before we can sign anyone we will need to sell our spare players as well as some of our current PL squad.

Perhaps I am slightly off but I think the focus will be on selling players in the next 2 days rather than buying anyone else.

Papers saying we may go in for rambo. I have to say, yesterday shdn there was talk of ramsey's contract running low I harboured a hope we may go for him.

I think he would be a better no10 than fekir, shoot me down if you want but I think he would fit our system better than fekir. Aaron could play in a 3 man midfield as the acm. He worked hard and can pass the ball. Knows the league inside out. He could also play as a true no10, behind the forward.

I really think he could be the missing link and I hope we go for him.

Want to kick off a bit of a debate about our GK options.

If the rumours in the press are to be believed, both Migs and Karius could depart.

If that happened, would you be happy to have Gabara and Kelleher as our No2 and No3 keepers? Also rumours about a 20yo man mountain from Barnet - Kai McKenzie-Lyle - who's been on trial with us. 6'7" and a couple of Ghana caps, but he's only 20 and has come from non-league.

If a more experienced backup to Alisson, who would you go for?

My personal view? Its a toughie, but on balance, I would be fine with Gabara and Kelleher. Yes its a risk, albeit a much smaller one that with a key outfield position, and we have all bemoaned how, for example, Ward never got the chance. So let's see if the 'kids' can step up!
