Looking at stat comparisons of defenders with most assists in the top 5 leagues, Fernando Marcal of Guingamp has 7, Leo Dubois of Nantes has 7, Alex Berenguer of Osasuna has 6, if you compare this to Mendy of Monaco he only has 5 assists Alex Berenguer is a better dribbler then Mendy, Fernando Marcal is overall a lot better then Mendy has won 3 Motm awards compared to Mendy, 1.7 key passes compared to mendy, blocks, intercepts, clears more then Mendy Mendy only beats him on dribbling stat. Ghoulam has 2 key passes and 6 assists might be a better bet.
