Could be a tough game today for many reasons, Jose is a serial spoiler and would love to be the first to beat this Liverpool team this season, putting a stop to the invincibles talk. Added to that our front three tend to struggle against a back five, the United game was a good example.

Having said all that this Liverpool team is different from the seasons before, when the opposition drop deep there is no panic or frustration, they just grind them down.
As long as our players don't get drawn into the antics from the Spurs players, in particular Lamela I think it's going to be another win, leading into the massive game next week.

I'd say against City we choked, the players were too conservative and ignored the manager
But tonight was just complacent, arguably lucky to get a draw. Yes it was an obvious penalty, but if our league title is reliant on competent refs we are all watching the wrong game.

This is such a huge game tonight, the sort of game that makes the next generation of young reds. Get eliminated tonight and it's a huge failure proving we are a fallen giant, but get the result to progress and we prove that City's billions can't buy everything.

Also I feel this is the audition for the keeper, a good showing tonight and maybe we stick and don't twist.

Just can't wait for kickoff! Keep seeing Bobby scoring tonight and breaking City hearts. C'mon u Reds!

So just a day left to wait till we see just how good this team is, some exciting new signings and champions league football is back at Anfield could be the start of the glory days coming back.

One thing to remember though no matter which team is playing and no matter how good the players are the game is at the mercy of some ridiculously incompetent referee's. But the FA have allowed the men in charge to use some shaving foam to keep the cheating players in check, might be this season fans won't need to moan about ref's and can get back to enjoying football.
