Everton’s new stadium is quite cool being right next to the river like that.
Such a shame global warming and the rising sea levels later on this century will see it slip under the waves long before they ever get to win another trophy to go on the newly built trophy shelf.

Tell you what, 7 points from 9 when we’ve played 2 tricky away matches, both times down to 10 men.
I’ll take that.
I think we’ve got a way to go before the team is up to speed and I think we still need to do some business in the transfer window but not a bad start at all, all things considered.

Changing the tactics back to what they where and a good old fashioned kick up the @rse from Klopp to a few players will be much more beneficial than a transfer right now.
Gakpo was pants the other night, another midfielder will be exactly the same without a change in tactics.

Bit of a fascinating game last night.
Assuming we make the final ourselves, who would you want to face out of city and Madrid?
There are probably a few reasons why you would pick who you would so let’s hear it, there are footballing reasons, like wanting to face the weaker team or the team we are likely to do better against and then there are the emotional reasons, wanting revenge over Madrid or wanting to beat city in a final maybe?

For me I want us to face Madrid, just for the revenge. But they are a team that’s greater than the sum of its parts for me, it’s funny saying that about Real Madrid because you expect them to be full of galacticos, but they also look aged and laboured to me bar the odd few youthful players like Vini Jr.

I can only imagine the likes of Salah, mane and Diaz running riot against their defence, but at the same time they have this never say die attitude and Benzema who can score from nothing, even though he doesn’t even break into a light jog these days.

Elliot starting today, didn’t see that one coming. Let’s hope he grabs this chance with both hands. I would rather see Milner next to him rather than Kieta to guide him through and cover him but Hendo will no doubt give a captain’s performance behind him.
