A gem of a beauty from Paul Ince. "Mohammed Salah is not a world-class player but yes, he is a world class goalscorer".

What does one expect from the forwards, in the first place, if it's not to score? Do I want tricks and dribbling and speed in the forwards? Yes, but only if it serves goalscoring. I'll still take the slow guy who can't dribble or do tricks, as long as he scores.

The nonsense some of these supposedly "learned guys" serve up, is beyond belief. And this guy really sounds like he is really up deep inside his own backside. ?.

A 0-0 draw between ManCity and Arsenal; the best possible outcome for us. Back in the driver's seat and it's up to the boys. Can we win every single game from here to the end? Yes, very much possible.

The fact that ManCity could not score over 90 minutes with 75% possession on their home ground, lays credence to the opinion that they are clearly not as good as in previous years.

Excellent. 8 games in and we are only 1 point behind the pacesetters, ManCity. 3 other teams are ahead but at the end of the season, it will be ManCity that everyone will be judged against. Two losses in a row; is that a chink in the armor that I see?

Paul Merson has claimed and has been quoted as saying that Chelsea and Leicester deserve being placed in the top 4, while Liverpool does not.

What an utter idiot. Do they not have any screening mechanisms for functional brain cells when they hire these kind of people to mouth off? The ultimate decider of what deserves and what doesn't deserve are the points tally at the end of the 38 games. Nothing less and nothing more. That's why the points are there. The bad part about all this is that some people reading or watching such tripe is that they get influenced and swayed in their thinking.

If Spurs can place a price of 175 Million on Harry Kane (if media sources are to be believed), then what do you think Salah would be worth if it ever came down to him wanting to leave? And what are the chances of any team paying those kind of amounts? Virtually nil.

Joe Gomez played DM tonight. That's the 5th position he has played so far this year, after rightback, leftback, left CB and right CB. Talk about versatility.

Well, as I had hoped for, Villa beat Arsenal and now it's game on for the title. Still very much early days to be declaring anything of course, but I'm happy it's a group of teams going after the title now, and we're in the thick of things. Competitive fun times ahead.

How Seven Hag gets Manager of the Month, ahead of Unai Emery is beyond me. Not to mention Harry Maguire as Player of the Month.

My crystal ball is telling me we'll see a midfield of Mac Allister, Gravenberch and Szoboszlai as our future.

It was clearly a foul. That's a moot point. But no way that was a red, no matter how you look at it. And to a certain extent you can argue that mistakes can happen (by refs) due to the subjective nature of making those decisions in a fast paced game over 90 minutes. So that's why VAR was put in, I would assume. To help "objectivize" some of that subjectivity. It's doing the opposite.

John Aldridge is right. I don't want Paul Tierney near a Liverpool game ever again. That's just too many times that you smell "strong bias" in the air when Tierney is around.

First they're selling and/ or looking for investment. Then they're not selling but maybe still looking for investment. There's been a chase for Bellingham for over a year. And now (if you believe the reports) they've voluntarily pulled out (it's that 100 million that would have come from UCL participation that would have been used for Bellingham, no doubt) . Understaffed in the medical department. Assistant managers behaving like they're on the celebrity circuit by writing books, and meddling in tactical strategy they have no business doing. Overpaid and underperforming players. And God knows what else is going on internally.

A well oiled all-winning machine looks looks like all the cogs have or are falling apart. A club that was putting up a good fight against "Big Daddybucks" clubs looks like its been knocked to the ground and trying to figure out how to stand up again.

Sure, bringing in two good players, instead of one in Bellingham, could make more sense in the long run. No argument with that. But nobody in the fanbase is going to like it, given the pursuit, and once again it will look like the club has backed down in the face of "bigger money" clubs. Oh well, there's still "we paid club record amounts for VVD, Alisson and Nunez". ?

My concern is that Klopp will walk in the summer because he may not get the 200 million he needs for the 4 or 5 players to be replaced.
