Now I know its not exactly Pulitzer prize winning journalism, Rumouring Gerrard taking a coaching role at Liverpool potentially assistant manager at end of season.
But what do we think about Gerrard being assistant manager or in the first team coaching set up. a good value adding addition or nostalgic value only.
I think we can safely put any potential manger ideas to bed for him. But.
Along with Lampard and Rooney, do you think they damage there playing days legacy at thier clubs, by repeatedly failing at managerial level at lower level clubs? And being remembered as much as failed managers as quality players.
For me personally I want the best coaches, assistant managers etc, over an ex legend for any nostalgia. but if Slot rated him as a coach on merit, I can't see a down side.
Just interested on peoples views.

As much as I admire Numez's desire, ability to get in good positions, and his general unpredictability, the fact is his stats say
Under half his shots are on target. when bobby was a 9 under klopp he was a foil and Mane and Mo provided the lions share of goals, under Slot it looks like he see the wide men as predominantly providers who also score. So a slot 9 need to be more a "give me a chance and I'll at least make the keeper
Work. Personally that won't be solved long term in a Jan, so do we cross everything and hope Jota stay fit, and try and get Isaak in summer? With a lethal strike with an over 50% conversion rate, we would be vv good in my view.

My humble opinion is when Klopp announced his departure we were still in 4 competitions. But realistically with our squad at that time you would expect us to be still in those competitions. I think we have been carried away with the potential of a fairy tale ending to a glorious period for our club, unfortunately fairy tales are just that. That said at the beginning of the season with the summer squad turnover, if you had said come April we would still have an albeit stuttering chance to win the league, would be pretty much looking at a return to the champions league next season and would win a cup, whilst considerably reducing the average age of the squad and seeing the emergence of some real quality prospects emerging from the academy we would of not of been that disappointed. So whilst a fairy tale ending to a memorable chapter is fading fast, the chapter was special and that's set in stone. so having a pretty fully fit squad and 6 games left, let's get back to the reality of trying to win a football match at a time 6 times and see where we end up. and then a new chapter begins and we are in pretty good shape to start it. ynwa Klopp is leaving but so did Shankly, Paisley and Dalglish before.
