Agree with many, a poor performance to say the least.

Not signing a replacement for Gini may well be our undoing this season. Much like selling Lovren and not replacing him was a game changer last season. We should have learned and we did not.

Fingers crossed Elliott is on the mend, and, Jones can starting to push for a place in the team. Ox, I think it is clear that he needs to have a fresh challenge next season. A team challenging for the league cannot afford to have deadweight and he is becoming that, unfortunately.

Midfield is where we will lose this race for the title. Fingers crossed, Fabs and Thiago can come back and play a string of games now. Thiago bought on big wages and he has been injured more than he has played, it feels like. Unfortunate but something has to change.

Fingers crossed for Wednesday. Hopefully we see Fabs back by then, somehow doubt it though.

A real shame that Klopp's tenure at the club had to end like this, that he would win one trophy in his final year. However, I am honestly really looking forward to the future.

Klopp has been the best Liverpool manager I have seen in my lifetime, lived 30 years and no better has come around. However, he always struck me as a great motivator and man manager, rather than a tactically efficient savant. A manager whose stubbornness and faith in players has come back to bite him, not to mention his rigidity and inability to adapt his tactics to deal with pressing concerns.

I feel like we need a new style, a new way of playing. We have so many offensive options that should excite us and yet, on the opposite side, players that are either past it or surplus to requirements. For me, Salah should be sold, he will never fetch a higher price than now, especially with a year left on his contract and signs of his body slowing down significantly. I would also sell Nunez, but I understand that people will be against this. I think he is a poor striker personally, but feel free to disagree.

We also need a new backline: Konate can not be trusted to stay fit and should only be a squad player. Van Dijk is getting on in age and may look elsewhere, also don't believe he is captain material. I believe the captaincy has improved his performance, but not his ability to actually lead the group through troubled times. Say what you want about Hendo, but he would always demand more and verbally make this point, rather than what Van Dijk does which is look at a player who made a mistake and shake his head before looking away, which has happened a number of times.

Quansah, I am very happy about, I think he will be a useful squad player with the potential for more. Bradley and Robbo, keep. Tsimikas, sell and I won't say anymore because my feelings on him are not kind. Trent, move to midfield and see if he takes to it. Gomez, he's been very poor recently but can not discount the performances this season, a good squad player.

Our midfield, for me, we have a good number of quality players here, we just need a system that can get the best out of them. Also, we need a DM, to support and rest Endo when needed, rather than rely on our first choice CM being our back up DM. Not getting someone like Andre in Jan for me was a massive oversight because we hauled more work on Endo's back, a 31 year old, that had not played to this intensity. Great signing though Endo, my Player of the Year personally.

Our strike force, I really don't like the blend we have, I feel like they don't complement each other. Many on the chat knows my feelings on Nunez, so I will not repeat, but to put it simply, I think he is one of our worst big priced signings ever. Diaz, he dribbles in circles but never makes much of it, lacks a clinical edge too. Salah, mentioned before past it. Jota, too injury prone to be relied upon. Gakpo, made to play in so many positions that it is any wonder he is struggling.

There is an awful lot of work to do, from staff recruitment to player recruitment. And, I hope we get it right. But, whatever happens, I want to see a new formation and strategy in place, something to make us less predictable, which Klopp has, unfortunately.

Things may feel dark now, but I am honestly excited for the future. A fresh start, no more sentimentality (Which was Klopp's greatest weakness) and a chance to see a new look Liverpool. Could be wrong, of course, but I am honestly really excited for what comes next.

Been enjoying the legends match, so far.

Nice to know the Liverpool injury curse is not specific to our first team stars, but our legends as well. Because that needed to be a thing. And Aurelio too, who had nothing but bad luck with injury, great player though.

Always a good laugh these matches, to see your legends who you idolized and tried to replicate become far older men with big bellies and co-ordination I attribute to toddlers. Age is rarely kind. Although, seeing Skrtel trying to play out from the back, while racing towards a terrified Dudek, had me rolling.

On a genuinely heartwarming note, seeing the combinations between Gerrard and Torres, allowing me to reminisce about my own childhood and how big a part both were, was an unexpected but welcome period. And then Maxi doing his utmost to score every time he touches the ball, when both are in better positions bringing me back down to earth :P

Although, the highlight of all highlights had to be Jay Spearing getting absolutely cooked by a 70 year old man, I couldn't breath man. I swear he's still on our books too.

Obviously many of us have differing opinions when it comes to what is best for Liverpool Football Club, many of the discussion I have seen range from player ability, to staff and squad management, the ownerships influence or lack thereof, etc.

However, I think we are all aligned on one thing and that is that our Liverpool players get through this international period unscathed. If we are to make one final push for remaining prizes then we need as many players available and in fighting shape as possible. I honestly could not care less about performance, scoring exploits, just come back unharmed, please.

I see a lot of players are, quite rightly, receiving praise for their performance and application on Sunday. Kelleher, superb. Endo, warrior. Van Dijk, imperious.

However, there was one player that really stood out for me when he came on. A youth player that I had heard of but not seen much of, who made Caicedo and Enzo look amateur by comparison. For me, James McConnell looked like the best midfielder on the pitch, the moment he came on.

I thought he was brilliant. He used the ball so well, knew when to retain possession and when to expand his play. Plus, took his yellow card smartly as, if he had not, with our numbers pushed up so high, we would have been in trouble. I was worried when Mac Allister went off, as I thought we would lose that control and necessary decision making. But boy did James turn up and take on the role with ease.

He recently signed a new contract too. So, Klopp clearly recognized the potential and I honesty wouldn't mind seeing more of him as he appears to have that high level calmness, unfazed by the occasion and simply gets to work.

Would love to see him on Wednesday, give him the full 90 to see what he is really capable of. I suspect the team, as a whole, will be comprised of youth players. We do need to rest legs, and while Southampton are a stern test, our focus should be on preserving as much quality for Saturday as we can. The injuries we have sustained have made that abundantly clear.

Important win from the lads, soured by Gary Neville's innate need to listen to the sound of his own voice for a prolonged period, believing himself to be the voice of football. He really is a true politician, the thing he hates, supposedly, yet the thing he has become in recent times.

I mean, even when the video evidence proves him wrong, that does not not deter him from pushing forward with his opinion. But, rather than make a concise point on the subject, he will ramble on in hopes he actually makes a valid point by the end. Honestly, no idea how this guy can be considered a pundit. Especially after his period as a manager. That should have been the final nail in the coffin, but obviously connections trump intelligence when it comes to Sky Sports, etc.

Also, has any one noticed his bias towards people from England in the Premier League. An English player goes down under little contact, and it is smart or the touch made him lose his balance and, "You don't know what that is like, unless you have played, I know. "

But, when it is a foreign player, it is poor from them or we don't want to see diving at this level, they should know better. This was really noticeable for Salah's first penalty, with Neville calling Diaz a diver.

It is scarily contrasting, and I have noticed this with Neville far more than other pundits. I remember how often he made excuses for Harry Kane, but a foreigner, nah, straight for his throat, call him out as a diver, and yet the evidence later shows otherwise.

Think the man is **** and, if we can make his life that little bit worse, all for it. Plus, he will only do something charitable when it serves his purpose and reflects well on him in the media and public opinion.
