So it looks like this is going to be a transitional season bedding a few players in like Nunez Carvalho Elliot Konate Dias and others. Then next summer sort the midfield out and Salah’s replacement we will be good to go again. Who knows we may still get to a final this season? that would be good. In a perfect world we would get Jude in now and we could have really challenged but hey nothing’s perfect. Sigh.

They have bottled it after two games and we will be lucky to get top 4 this season unable to handle pressure and poor transfer strategy during the summer. Seriously I cannot see us finishing second if no signings are made. These players look a shadow of their former selves except Dias and Elliot. My worry is a team that has forgotten how to score goals and that can’t defend for toffee is hardly a team at all, having all the possession and doing absolutely jack with it is never going to win any game. Imagination is seriously lacking no cutting edge and lazy defending. We will finish 3rd or 4th if we are lucky.

Harvey Elliot new contract signed until June 2027! Good news going to be a massive season for him he will take Thiago’s place while injured looked good on the right with Trent and Mo. going to be a handful those 3 together.

Poor game and played out like most early kick offs with us, such slow play every player standing still for 2 seconds or longer upon receiving the ball and lack of urgency. Blazing shots over the bar get your shot on target or don’t bother! Absolutely zero cohesion because of changes and quite possibly our worst performance of the season. We got the win and need to be so much better on Tuesday. We are a different beast in the champions league.
