Not a good performance at all tonight but let's look at the positives .3pts against a tough side away from home . VVD played fantastic, slob done grat at RB. Ekitike looks a very good striker 3 in 3 n likes the physical side. never say die attitude the team has. young Rio looks like the real deal, hope he gets 10 mins in league games n run in the cup games .

Sad news about Joey Jones . one of my favourite players back in the day, he loved a tackle . the flag about frog legs was iconic. RIP mate.

Game went how I expected it to go today. but no point calling the squad players out in a game like today. we needed to see them when the games really mattered during the season n not without all the changes today. I think the last 3 games will be of similar ilk. n who can blame them, we've won the league.

Kerkez n Konate have been poor lately but today stepped it . also Curtis Jones gets some unfair stick imo but he was good when he came on . made up we beat them, Arsenal are like a glorified Bolton under Artita.

Konate n Kerkez were absolutely awful tonight. But hats off to Virgil Van Dyke, what a captains performance tonight . won everything in the air n on the ground . young Rio going to be a superstar. poor performance tonight but 3pts n we can only get better as the season progresses.

My little 2pence worth about transfers . i'd love us to get Isak, but he's under contract and if Newcastle don't want to sell that's their right to say no, . no matter what the player says . I liked it better when the clubs and not the players have all the power, after all we support the club not the players don't we . we have situations where players run contracts down costing their clubs millions and putting some clubs in dire financial times . at the end of the day we need clubs to be here, players come n go,

Bit of a mad game that. when we was 2-1 up we had 8 players around their penalty box n they broke n Konate n VVD to deal with 4 players . sure Slot won't let that happen again . Ekitike looks good, always involved .1st game done, 3pts, can only get better . watched it on premier live but had the misfortune to listen to Owen n Macmanaman rambling on.

Game today showed us why we need Grav back in the team . we were getting hit with long balls n because we're not either match fit or sharp yet, it was easy for them to do it . but its only a glorified friendly game . on the plus side just how good does Wirtz look . looks effortless when he has the ball. Etikite look good also. hopefully another forward n defender comes in bfr the window closes.
