Well come to think of it we don't actually need a signing at all.

We got keita and ox to cover midfield
Brewster shaq lallana for step overs on flanks
Origi for awkward celebrations when firmino ain't there
plenty of cbs with the best in the world.
One of the best gk.

And then plenty of youth.

Win the league and cl this season and then next year get mbappe and mustafi.

Apologies if this becomes a long post.

Few things that have baffled me on here with some.

1 - we need to replace Sturridge. We already did with origi. Sturridge was the go to man in the 1st half of the season. And was replaced as the go to man 2nd half of the season. So replaced 👍

2 - we need to add players or we are standing still. As I said origi will be called upon more. Shaqiri rarely got games towards xmas and beyond and has shown flashes of quality. Gomez was injured most of the season and was really standing out. Ox showd his qualities and is returning. Keita only really played a few games still needed to settle he will now. Brewster has great promise, But because he's young some want money spent. Thank God we didn't buy a 1st choice right back or we'd still be on 5. So that's origi, shaqiri, Gomez, ox, keita and Brewster 6 players who will add more to what we had Last season 👍

pre season begins tomorrow for the European Champions. I hope we bring at least one player in to compete with the first team, I just think with everyone else spending, standing still probably isn't a good idea.

Just watching highlights of the final again.
Was it a handball by Vertongen just before Origi scored?

It is going to be a very tough season for Liverpool. I think 90% of fans will agree liverpool drop considerably in quality without the front 3. very surprising not to continue to add few players in those areas to allow others to rest without the level dropping.
Klopp will clesrly put ox and Lallana in those front 3 positions and it won't work at all because it's not their position . very surprising to see a lack of transfers in those areas. he's mad to think Liverpool will win lots of games like last season.

I personally love the lack of transfer business so far. There will be a lot of movement once the Pogbas and Neymars go and things will open up a bit. We don't need squad depth, given that returning injured players improve upon our current options (Ox, Gomez) or are young with potential to develop into a bigger role (Brewster) . Provided we keep Origi, there really isn't any reason to pile loads of money into the market right now unless one of our number one targets come available. Sure, I'd love to see another Fabinho fly in under the radar, but adding players like Sepp VDB and Harvey Elliott who are hugely talented and highly rated makes more sense to me than paying incredible fees/ wages to recruit Ceballos/ Ascensio/ Pepe when they're ultimately behind our front three in the pecking order anyway.

Just passing on info from last week. I took a Liverpool legend to Anfield last week for the pink concert. He said it was more just to meet the new chief exec. I pushed on transfers and he said Liverpool are in talks with Bournemouth over Callum Wilson with clyne being sent the other way. Ironically, I had to take clyne to lime st the following day and asked him and he said he hadn't heard anything but he was getting a train down south with his friend. Have you heard anything eds?

Just been reading Shaqiri has a calf tear and could miss pre season and the early games in the new season. Hope he recovers well and isn't really serious. Already low on numbers with possibility of no signings, Shaqiri is set to feature quite a bit as back up imo so not ideal.
