Solskjaer's just gone and got himself sacked before they play us, hasn't he?

After the last international break we were heading into a period of 7 games in 22 days. 4 in the league, 2 in Europe and 1 in cup. I mentioned on here that I felt this run of fixtures was vital to stay in a strong position. We were 2 points clear of city back then, we've now opened up an 8 point gap. We've won our games by tight margins and not free flowing but city have dropped 6 points against wolves and Norwich which is a huge worry for them. I'm so glad we've managed to win maximum points to punish their loss of points.

It would have been frustrating to drop 2 points yesterday and I'm sure city would have seen our last gasp winner as a kick in the teeth. Delighted now going into this next break in such a strong position. Let's keep it going hopefully and not take our foot off the gas.

well done to the U23's who got a 3-2 win today.

Joe Gelhardt got a brace against us, i remember hearing we were looking at signing him? is there any truth? 17 decent prospect.

Adama Traore using up two years worth of missing end product today and good timing!
City are so exposed at the back, and have to say Pep lost it for them today. He was too desperate for a win and left them even more open going to some kind of 4-4-2.

Otamendi diving in for the goal when jiminez didn’t even move the ball to beat him was great.

In fairness to Adama he was a constant thorn today, and he seemed to get fouled every five mins (although the ref only gave a foul every 10). Maybe not the best player but when you are under the cosh, like wolves were for the last 25, releasing the pressure with his pace and dribbling actually worked well today! Normally it’s headless running down blind alleys!

My o my. Man City lose again. Reminds me of Ed001's words that Guardiola loses his way by the third season. Could be prophetic. And to all the guys hammering constantly about our bench not being as good as theirs, let this serve as a lesson. It doesn't matter how good your bench is, if your first XI is not producing the goods!

Having heard so much hype about Leicester, I wasn't impressed by them. They were overly physical, to the point where you'd have expected them to be coached by Pulis or Warnock. The centreback, Soyuncu, was terrible. Maybe I just caught him on a bad day, but I don't know what people see in that lad. Salah didn't have the best of games and he still managed to roll Soyuncu multiple times. We dominated them, and were only lacking that cutting edge that made us so clinical in the past. Have to say, hats off to Milner, that assist to Mane was deliciously weighted, and what nerve that was for that peno!

itd be great to see our lad Elliot get on the pitch today.

he's got great confidence and I love seeing a player try the little tricks, flicks, and passes. it's the kind of stuff Coutinho used to do that not many of our players will do now.

fingers crossed for today!
